Chayr
Chair design | Rendering
The Chayr is building on Hille’s heritage for educational seating, Re-imagining Robin Day’s classic Polyprop chair, the aim of the chair design is to be space efficient for storage and to be flexible to any learning environment. The chayr is also designed along Hille’s manufacturing process - injection moulding.
Stacking
In order to achieve space efficiency, the distance between chairs is minimized. The holes at the seating plate allows less gap between chairs while stacking.
The top part of the chair is minimized into effective area for supporting body. Metal structural frame
is modular to provide an easy replacement for repairs.
Framework
In order to achieve a stable furniture for education, legs are angled to avoid falling backward while leaning on the back.
Fitting for different function, the colors are selected for purposes of concentration, calming, and active.
