A bit more

about me

Design is a prism.

It transforms a ray of light into a spectrum. It embraces the aesthetics while enhances the functionality. It creates variety, characteristics and uniqueness.

Design is a magnifying glass.

It amplifies the focus on a solution regarding the design problem. It inspires me with the dedication on details and thoughtfulness.

WHAT DOES SUSTAINABILITY MEAN TO YOU?

Sustainability is dedication and education combined. It is not only about one’s thoughtfulness but also means spreading out the words and passing down the good practices to future generations.

HOW DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN DESIGN?

User-friendliness of a product always surprises users with a smooth, comfortable experience. This inspires me to be a surprise maker.

THE MOST VALUABLE SKILL YOU HAVE GAINED DURING YOUR PROJECTS?

Critical thinking is what I have learnt from the design process. It helps me to see the world in perspectives, and to put myself in others’ shoes.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE?

Sustainable design or design for health can be appealing for users to use comfortably. Many people refuse to use healthy products because of the stereotype and appearance of the product. I hope to design products that provide functionality and aesthetics to encourage healthy lifestyles.

YOU’RE A NEW ADDITION TO THE COPIC BOX, WHICH COLOUR WOULD YOU BE AND WHY?

I wish to be a 10% black. It is in between the grayscale, sandwiched by the two fundamental of colours - black and white. It is a subtle character with white background; it stands out when used with black colour; it sometimes performs as a misty background for other colours to shine like a crepuscular ray.
